Tiffany, artist & maker

Born in California, Tiffany has been an artist and a maker since she could grasp a pencil or hold a brush. made@linden began as a documentation of artistic pursuits: jewelry designs, knitting and patterns, doodles and watercolors.

A professional project lead working in the university setting, Tiffany finds time and creates community around her artistic pursuits. Seeking always to create lasting moments of beauty in this world and to build community around art and the making of tangible things, made@linden provides an online space to share her projects with others.
MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY
Material things should be made with love and with purpose.
This is the philosophy of made@linden, which seeks to provide a space for inspiration, for creative community, and for encouraging a culture of intentionality and thoughtfulness through the creation of material things.

As a student and lover of history, Tiffany always sought out stories of women and was often disappointed to find the achievements and accomplishments of women missing from history textbooks or young adult historical fiction. In 2017 she set out to tell the story of an amazing woman, every single day, and the @women_creating_change project was born. Each daily doodle tells an untold stories, uplifting the voices of women whose change-making has been ignored through history.

Tiffany began knitting and sewing as soon as she could hold needles: through her childhood, she sewed and made gifts for her parents and knitted scarves for her friends. Teaching others to knit cemented friendships and created community, and Tiffany continues to find community with other makers and to find peace amidst anxiety through knitting and fibers.
made@linden represents her commitment to bespoke, handmade knitwear and handmade clothes. made@linden is committed diversity and inclusion within the crafting community, and has focused on partnerships with other WOC crafters.
Since 2018, Tiffany has been developing her own knitwear and sewing patterns, which can be found on Revelry. More recently, her patterns have won competitions and been featured in PomPom Magazine and in local yarnstores.
