Dorothy Denning, Cyber Security Professor

We need to carefully look at all the options and all their ramifications in making our decisions.” Cyber Security Professor Dorothy E. Denning was born August 12, 1945. Her research focused on cyber innovations and cyber security. Her books include "Information Warfare & Cyber Security," "Internet Besieged: Countering Cyberspace Scofflaws," "Rights and Responsibilities of Participants in Networked Communities," and "Cryptography and Data Security." She has published over 200 articles and also gave a TED Talk titled “Open Doors and Back Doors: Why Cyber Crime is a Growing Threat" on November 9, 2015. She received the Augusta Ada Lovelace Award recognizing "her outstanding in computer security and cryptography as well as her extraordinary contributions to national policy debates on cyber terrorism and information warfare".
